This Friday, we celebrate the Autumn Equinox— an important solar holiday that occurs each year on the day the Sun enters Libra! Also known as Mabon, the Autumn Equinox marks the second of three harvest seasons in the solar year, indicating that now is an ideal time to harvest the fruits of our labors and to let go of all that no longer serves us moving forward. The Equinox is the time of year when we begin to surrender, wind down and turn our attention inward as day and night become equal once more.
The Full Moon in Pisces, which comes exact on September 6th, will be deeply compassionate and emotionally charged as it is in close conjunction with watery, mystical Neptune. The energy of this Full Moon is loving and romantic— perfect for a dreamy night in with someone you love! On the flip side, we must be careful not to unload our emotions on our partners, loved ones and friends. With all of the tense and chaotic energy over these past few weeks, this Full Moon provides the perfect catalyst for an emotional purge, and in an inconjunct aspect with Venus, the people you love most may end up bearing the burden of our emotional baggage.
While the astrology for the eclipse on August 21st may actually be quite nice for most of us on an individual level, with change comes inevitable discomfort. Change is never stress-free, and progress rarely comes from dwelling within our comfort zones. We are all being called to stretch far beyond what comes easy to us in order to forge a new path that is in alignment with what or hearts truly desire. Walking this new path requires courage, and it requires us to step up and allow our light to shine brightly for all to see. It also requires us to care much less about other people's opinions of our actions.
