We have a crazy, action-packed weekend ahead with the BIGGEST and closest Supermoon of the year in Mercury-ruled Gemini occurring this Sunday— the very same day that Mercury stations to go retrograde! The lead-in to the weekend is just as dynamic with Mars in justice-oriented Libra coming into an explosive opposition to Uranus in Aries—surfacing latent frustrations with imbalances and unfairness in our current situations and compelling us (somewhat hastily) to make a change!

Friday (12/1): Venus closes out its intimate and deeply passionate transit through the sign of Scorpio today and moves into the jovial and expansive sign of Sagittarius! Under the influence of Venus in Sagittarius, these next few weeks provide the perfect energy for expanding our minds within our partnerships through travel, adventure, and deep philosophical exploration. Venus in Sagittarius also requires the space and freedom to expand— a stark contrast to the deep, borderline obsessive connection required by Venus in Scorpio. This is not the time to keep your partner on lockdown or to obsess about their every move. Now is a time when partnerships require movement, exploration, and growth, even if that means growing a bit in opposite directions from time-to-time. Venus in Sagittarius also provides us the gift of perspective in our closest relationships, as this is a time when we may prefer to concern ourselves with the bigger picture rather than our day-to-day problems and experiences.
Mars in Libra comes into opposition with Uranus, adding a layer of dynamic, explosive energy and impulsivity into the mix, which will be felt well into the weekend. With Mars transiting the fair and balanced sign of Libra, people are more likely to get fired-up when we sense even the slightest hint of inequality or injustice. In opposition to rebellious Uranus in Aries, this energy can feel downright revolutionary, even on a personal level. Frustrations may bubble up to the surface, highlighting areas of imbalance in our lives. We may feel compelled to take immediate, impulsive action in order to quickly resolve these issues. The danger here is in acting too hastily; as we become may way more accident prone under this influence (and prone to poor decision-making leading to mistakes, with Mercury slowing down to go retrograde this weekend as well). While change may be necessary under this influence, be sure to take the time to think things through before acting on impulse.
Jupiter at 11 degrees in Scorpio comes into a beneficial trine with Neptune in Pisces today, adding depth and spirituality into an otherwise intense and chaotic energy. Jupiter in trine with Scorpio is wonderful for diving deep behind the veil into hidden philosophies and ancient mysteries. This deeply creative energy is also wonderful for artistic endeavors and spiritual exploration of any kind. There is a tendency toward an idealistic outlook under this influence, so even in the midst of a bit of tension and uncertainty we can maintain a positive attitude toward whatever work comes up for us to take on.
Saturday (12/2): No major planetary aspects. Today the Moon is in Gemini, and we are beginning to feel the emotional and intellectual pull of tomorrow’s highly active and unusual Supermoon!
Sunday (12/3): The Full Moon in Gemini today is by far the largest and closest Supermoon of 2017! In the Mercury-ruled sign of Gemini, in a T-square with foggy and confusing Neptune, AND on the same day Mercury stations retrograde— this Full Moon is all about communication and miscommunication! While, for some, this Full Moon can be a wonderful culmination point to the New Moon in Scorpio that began this lunar cycle, the energy brought on by this Full Moon is likely to be experienced as quite strange. This is definitely not a good day to start something new or make any important decisions, as even trivial plans and communications have the potential to go awry.
Additionally, the super-tight inconjunction between Jupiter in Scorpio and this potent Supermoon may cause us to loose touch with our connection to our emotions and intuition, further hindering our ability to speak and act from a space of clarity. The inconjunction to Jupiter also highlights areas when we’ve become loose with our boundaries due to overgenerosity or an inability to simply say “no” to unwanted obligations. There is a danger here of taking on too much, so take time to really feel things out before making any commitments.

As previously mentioned, this is also the day that Mercury officially stations direct at 29 degrees in Sagittarius— a retrograde cycle that will highlight all of our Saturn-in-Sagittarius lessons dating all the way back to January of 2016! Over the next 21 days, we will all be required to take some time to wrap things up and tie up any loose ends prior to Saturn moving into Capricorn on December 21st!
Have a beautiful weekend! Be sure to check back on Sunday for the weekday forecast! ☺
