There are no major planetary aspects this week on Friday & Saturday as we move into the Full Moon in practical, service-oriented Virgo on Sunday. Now is the time to take the dreams and visions for the future seeded at the time of the New Moon Eclipse in Pisces and ground them into practical reality through concrete plans and the creation of new, more realistic routines moving forward.
Friday (3/10): No major planetary aspects. The Moon is in fiery, dramatic Leo during the morning hours and is VOC from 10:12am-3:12pm MST when it moves into Virgo in preparation for the full moon. With the moon in Virgo we can feel more critical and judgmental of ourselves and of others. There is a tendency to focus more on the details of our daily routines, and we may place greater importance on our health and nutrition.
Saturday (3/11): No major planetary aspects. The moon is in Virgo all day waxing to fullness, with the Full Moon coming exact Sunday morning.
Sunday (3/12): The Full Moon in Virgo comes exact at 8:54am MST, marking the culmination point of the lunar cycle that began with the New Moon/ Solar Eclipse in Pisces which occurred roughly two weeks ago on February 26th. This Full moon in Virgo helps us to clear away the Pisces fog and brings us back into balance by shifting our focus away from the intangible, dreamy, emotional Pisces realm while bringing the aspects of our lives that are tangible and real back into the forefront of our awareness.
While the New Moon in Pisces was all about our dreams, the Virgo Full Moon is about taking those dreams and using them to create something real and practical. A lot of what was seeded at the eclipse was deep and unconscious— hidden below the surface of our awareness. For those who were aware of the energy and utilized it more intentionally, the plans and ideas that were seeded likely took the form of visions, feelings and impressions. Now is the time to take what was received through our intuition and dreams and turn it into something real and tangible— ideally a project or process that we may use in service of our own needs and the needs of those we care about most. One way we may do this is by taking better care of our health, making concrete plans and changing up our daily routines to support us in grounding our visions for the future into reality.

In addition to the Full Moon, Mercury in Pisces makes a difficult square to Saturn in Sagittarius. Saturn is the planet of lessons and limitations, and in square with Mercury now is a time when we may feel limited in our ability to communicate our ideas effectively, potentially leading to disappointments and misunderstandings. The danger of miscommunication and disillusionment is heightened by Mercury’s placement in foggy, dreamy Pisces, where our minds may not be as sharp as what we’re used to. On the flip side, Mercury square Saturn provides an excellent time for heavy mental labor and critical, practical long-term thinking.
This transit may also indicate a crisis of commitment to an idea or process that was seeded around the time of Mercury’s last conjunction to Saturn at the end of November 2016. It could be that you were overly optimistic of the possibilities at the time, or maybe you jumped the gun and went too big too fast. On the other end, it could have been that you weren’t thinking “big” enough or that your plans were lacking in integrity. Whatever the case, now is a time when you may feel overly critical or disappointed with the progress made so far. If this is the case, now is an excellent time to get to work and make the necessary changes to insure success moving forward.
