Mercury stations direct mid-week week while positioned right at the center of the conjunction between Uranus and Eris, which came exact for the third and final time on March 17th. Whenever Mercury stations, our thoughts and communications become much more significant and, in conjunction with Uranus/Eris, unexpected circumstances or insights may come up to prompt us to re-think the direction in which we’ve been headed.
Monday (4/1): May 1st is known as May Day or Beltane, the pagan solar holiday honoring fire, fertility and mystical union. May Day is among the most controversial of the solar holidays due to its association with sexual promiscuity and animal sacrifice. That being said, it also remains among the most widely celebrated. While there certainly is a more risqué side to the history surrounding this time of year, in modern times, May Day is regarded as a celebration of beauty, vitality, fertility, connection and community. It’s a time when the earth becomes more colorful and vibrant. People venture outdoors to celebrate and connect, marriages are officiated, animals mate and give birth to new life, and the birds and the bees re-appear once more. It’s a beautiful, optimistic and magical time of mystical union when plants are in full growth and animals move in harmony with the natural rhythms of the Earth and Sun.
Tuesday (4/2): No major planetary aspects today. The Moon it’s first-quarter phase in the passionate, heartfelt sign of Leo today.
The First Quarter Square of the moon marks a crisis of commitment. This is a time where we may feel disappointed with our progress thus far and old baggage from past cycles may come into conflict with what is being created in the present. The key here is to let go of old, limiting beliefs and psychological patterns that are holding us back. Emotional baggage from the past can leave us feeling stuck at this time, and this is an excellent time to clear away old wounds as they surface. The key here is to push through and not allow oneself to be held back by the events of the past. If used correctly, this can be a potent time of action and opportunity.
Wednesday (4/3): Today is the day! Mercury stations direct today in Aries after nearly three weeks of retrograde action. Normally, when Mercury stations it brings things to sort of an eerie standstill, almost as if we are wading through quicksand as we go about our day, however, with Uranus in the mix this isn’t likely to be the case for many of us. For those who felt the anxiety and frustration amp up last week on Friday when Mercury first came into it’s exact conjunction with Uranus, today is a day when nervous tension may increase or intensify. On the flip side, we might experience unexpected events, insights, and unusual communications that show up rather loudly to reveal to us the areas in which we are required to change. This could mean a sudden change of plans or an unexpected opportunity, or it could simply cause us to re-think the way we’ve been communicating our thoughts to others.
We also have the Sun in grounded, earthy Taurus coming into a supportive sextile with connected and compassionate Neptune in Pisces today, inspiring us to become more loving and imaginative in all of our daily pursuits. This aspect may cause us to become more empathic, connecting more deeply to the feelings and emotions of others. This aspect favors meditation and mystical experience, and tonight will also be an excellent opportunity for working with dreams.
Thursday (4/5): No major planetary aspects. The moon will be in practical, service-oriented Virgo today making it a great day to get organized so we can begin moving forward with plans once again now that Mercury is officially direct.
Thank you all for your love and support! Be sure to check back here on Thursday for the weekend forecast. Have a beautiful week! ☺
