This week culminates in a powerful Full Moon in the realistic and perfectionistic sign of Virgo, bringing us back to reality after a couple of seriously floaty, Piscean weeks! This Full Moon highlights the need to come back down to earth and deal with practical reality. For those who have been using this Neptunian energy as a means to escape reality, now is a time when the responsibilities that have been neglected this month will likely catch up with you! For others, this energy may have us feeling much more compassionate toward those around us, providing the impetus to show up in service of those who need it most.
Monday (2/26): No major planetary aspects. Today the Moon will continue to transit it’s comfort zone in it’s home sign of Cancer. The Moon will make a harmonious grand trine to Venus in Pisces and Jupiter in Scorpio early in the morning, making this an excellent time for relationships and teamwork. The Moon will also be making an opposition to Pluto, which may serve to keep us hyper-focused amidst all of the watery, lackadaisical energy present during the morning hours.
The Moon will go Void-of-Course at 2:51pm after making it’s last aspect in Cancer, a challenging square to Uranus. This indicates that projects initiated over the last 2.5 days may meet with surprising changes and abrupt endings. The Moon moves into the passionate and expressive sign of Leo at 9:42pm, where it will remain until Wednesday night.
Tuesday (2/27): Venus in Pisces moves into a supportive sextile with Pluto in Capricorn today, bringing deep, intimate connections in relationships. Today people are more intense in the way they express their love to others, craving passion and fierce sensuality. Issues of loyalty come to the forefront under this influence, and with any Venus/Pluto connection we become more possessive in our partnerships and much more sensitive to betrayal. For the most part, this transit is experienced positively and brings a longing for intense expressions of love and more profound connections with those we hold dear.
Wednesday (2/28): Our minds become razor sharp and incredibly tense today as Mercury, the planet ruling communication and analytical thought, comes into a challenging square with Mars and a supportive sextile to Pluto. People may be much more quick to speak up, and the words that are exchanged may be intense and reactionary under this influence. Be careful not to make impulsive decisions or to speak without thinking, as this is a time when we may say or do things we may later regret. With Pluto in the mix, we are able to see the truth quite easily, but with the involvement of a challenging aspect to Mars, some may use harsh truths to hurt others after becoming too caught up in the heat of the moment. While arguments are likely, this energy can utilized more positively for intense, focused thought and research of any kind.
The Moon today makes a harmonious trine to Mars today, followed by a square to Jupiter and a trine to Uranus. This indicates that we might find it easy to initiate new action this morning, however; we must be careful not to go overboard or take things too far! The trine to Uranus is the last aspect the Moon will make before going Void-of-Course in Leo at 4:13pm MST, an energy that is excellent for finding new inspiration and creating positive change.
The Moon moves into the analytical, service-oriented sign of Virgo tonight at 10:57pm MST, ushering us into tomorrow’s Full Moon energy.
Thursday (3/1): Mercury in Pisces comes into a beautiful trine with Jupiter in Scorpio today, bringing a renewed, more lighthearted sense of optimism to our thoughts and communications throughout the day today. This transit can bring good news, especially for those who have strong water influences in their charts. This energy is excellent for higher educational pursuits, studying religion or philosophy, or for making plans for future adventures.
The Full Moon in Virgo comes exact at 5:51pm MST, bringing us back to reality after the onslaught of foggy and confusing Piscean energy we’ve been working hard to navigate over these past couple of weeks. This Full Moon highlights the need to come back down to earth and deal with practical reality. For those who have been using this Neptunian energy as a means to escape reality, now is a time when the responsibilities that have been neglected this month will likely catch up with you! If you’ve been feeling a bit dazed and distracted lately, this energy brings our minds back online, allowing for greater clarity of thought and intention. For those who have been feeling unsettled or fearful without being able to determine the cause, this Full Moon in Virgo sheds some light on the underlying issues at hand. With Neptune in the mix, deceptions, delusions, addictions, and escapist tendencies come to light and, with some effort, we are much better able to address these issues. If we’ve been wearing the rose-colored-glasses this month, this Full Moon illuminates the areas in our lives where we’ve been fooling ourselves into thinking everything is love, light and rainbows. The key to navigating this Full Moon is to address what comes up very honestly and practically. With a sextile to Saturn in the mix, we must be honest with ourselves and take responsibility for our pitfalls and mistakes in order to move forward into greener pastures.
This Full Moon, while challenging for some, may bring about deeper compassion for those around us. We may feel more compelled to act in service of those around us and to help those in need. This is an excellent time to reach out to friends and family to offer assistance where it’s needed most and, on the flip side, others will be much more likely to provide help in return.
Have a beautiful week! Be sure to check back on Thursday for the weekend forecast! :)
